Roseanne Reid

Lawside is the brand new album from Roseanne Reid. Featuring the singles Call it Love , All I Need and Mona Lisa which landed on New Music Friday Country .

Roseanne Reid's songs exude a quiet confidence and sparse authenticity that recalls the likes of Gillian Welch and Lucinda Williams, but with a tone that belongs to Roseanne. No wonder that Americana legend Steve Earle has not only adopted Reid as a personal cause, but makes a guest appearance on the delightful Sweet Annie. The new single highlights both Roseanne's charmingly low-key vocals and an elegant upbeat instrumentation, with more than a hint of a Muscle Shoals influenced rhythm section. Roseanne’s music tastes were shaped by early purchases, her earliest album memory is the T.Rex - Gold collection bought for her by Dad. In her teens, her attention moved to the acoustic, via Bob Dylan and then to the lesser-celebrated Peter, Paul & Mary. An inspiration to this day and an artist she toured the UK with last year is Martha Wainwright. “My mum had tickets to see Rufus Wainwright at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh and Martha was on the bill. “My mum has tickets to see Rufus Wainwright at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh and Martha was on the bill.
